Is it only your gauge cluster that went out? does the lights at least come on? Im talking about the lights in the gauges not headlights. There are many things that it could be besides a cv joint going bad When your coming into a turn does the car make any werid sounds?

What he said if your cv joints are going bad youwould be hearing a weird noise when turning. The gauge problem could be a couple of things, speed sensor, fuse, relay or maybe your cluster just going bad

I bet its your interior light fuse blown. Replace it and you should be back to normal. Also a good way to check your cv joints is turn your steering wheel all the way to one side and put it in reverse and if it makes the same sound its your cv joint.

i had to replace my cv joints not to long ago. When i would turn it sounded like crunching ice on the right side. And on the left it just sounded like a loud pop. Hope any of those clues help.
