97 Nissan Pickup VG30TT Swap

Looking to purchase a swap for my truck. I've seen SR20DET swaps and 350 swaps but has anyone heard of someone doing a VG30TT swap? Will it fit in the engine bay?

Yes the late 96 and 97 chasis came with the optional VG30 king cab.That's what I was thinking.... I guess I need to find the dimensions of the VG30TT and do some measuring. But as it sits now with the ka24 there is PLENTY of room in the engine bay. I haven't seen a engine bay with so much room in it. If a V8 can fit in the bay I'm almost positive a vg30tt can. Y'all think you can fab me up some engine mounts/brackets and drive shaft?

Yes, as we do that kind of work here, I was looking into this swap when I had my nissan, and I have a good plan, but you have to come to the shop for more details

You dont have to run the turbos off the manifold you can relocate I seen some clean bay on the chase bays FB page

Yeah but they fabbed bunch of parts in the bay that might be in the way. Might be enough for the VG swap you should get some dementions might help.

Well I'm probably going to go with hydraulic steering so I won't have any issues. Does anyone know of what rear ends with disc brakes bolt up to my truck? Like will the 300zx rear end fit ? The Nissan mini trum forum that had all the information shut down like 2 years ago :(

correct, but its also had a single intake runner. just get a vg30 truck engine and redo internals and fad t-manifolds.

Ive had friends back in my mini truckin days that did 300z rear ends & supra rear ends. There is no bolting up is a full custom job but very doable
